Did you know that we’ll have a booth at each of the Pop Up Farmers’ Markets being held in Greenwich this summer, and into September? It’s true.

In case you’re wondering what it’s all about, allow me to bring you into the loop. It all began for us last summer, when we learned that there is going to be a permanent Farmer’s Market built in the new Greenwich subdivision. It seemed like such an opportunity for us that we immediately researched what was involved in getting accepted into the Farmers’ Market.

Well, we learned what we needed to do, filled out some forms and voila! We were accepted! (Yay!). So look for us in the permanent Farmers’ Market in 2020.

Now as a lead up to the building of the permanent location, the organizers are hosting these pop-up Farmers’ Market. They’re meant to introduce everyone to the idea of the market and get us all excited for the day when it finally opens.

Since we’ve never been involved in a Farmers’ Market, it a great way for us to dip our toes in the water, so to speak.

So far, we’ve attended the May 25th pop-up, where it rained (a lot!). Sadly people stayed away in droves because of the rain. We’re hoping that our next venture on June 22nd will have better weather and bigger crowds.

That said we were really happy with how our booth came together, and our first outing taught us a few things. We’re going to lay things out a bit differently at this next market. We found that our high displays blocked the sightlines to the back of our tent; making it difficult to see everything we had available.

With our next effort, we going to put the produce on the back wall, and set the booth up so that you can see straight through to the back. If you head out there, be sure to let us know what you think.

We look forward to seeing you on June 22 (and July 20 and August 17 and September 14)!
